How many times have you gone through folder after folder to get to where you want in the SharePoint root (14, formerly 12 hive)? How would you like an easy way to get there?

Right click anywhere in the open area of your taskbar, and then click on ‘Toolbars’ and then ‘New Toolbar’. Navigate to the ’14’ folder:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\14

Then, click the ‘Select Folder’ button in the dialog. All you really need to do is make it (the new toolbar) as small as you can, so that all that shows is ’14’, otherwise, it will have show all the folders within that folder on the taskbar. From then on out, to get to them, just click on the double-arrow icon. Your done!
