Navigation to controls in the toolbox has finally gotten easier now, in Visual Studio.Net 2010. You can actually type to get to the control you want. The sections in which they reside don’t even need to be open.
To try it out, close all the sections, and type in ‘te’. If you are in an ASP.Net, WinForms project without any 3rd party controls, it will take you directly to the ‘Textbox’. In a WPF project, it will take you to a ‘TextBlock’
The only problem is that it doesn’t search from the top, so if you are at the textbox and type in ‘tab’ for ‘table’, it won’t go up the list. But, you can press Ctrl-Home to get to the top and type it again……
It just keeps getting better.
