If you are using SharePoint 2013 and trying to add an Excel workbook to only show a Named Definition, in a Publishing Page, you will be fighting forever.

I tried to get the scrollbars disappear, sizing and resizing for an hour before I found out that, by creating a page for this in the Pages library just was not going to work. The main thing was that Publishing Pages don’t recognize the Named definition in the Excel workbook. So, I went to the Site Pages library and created a Wiki page. On that page, I added an Excel Services Web Part. I pointed to the correct workbook in my documents library, and typed in the Named definition in the ‘Named Item’ textbox. Then, I sized the width and height the way I wanted so that no scrollbars would appear and finished up all my other needs, saved it and the page and voila! I had the look I wanted.
